The CEO of EDP stated that, Our ambition as a future-proof organisation is only achievable if we prioritise individual well-being within the company and ensure human and meaningful experiences for everyone. Within this in mind EDP focused on the five dimensions of well-being –physical, emotional, social, professional, financial– to support their employees in conciliating professional and personal life. One of their core activities is the project Mind your mind that aims to promote the mental health of employees.
In order to continue creating a workplace that is increasingly healthy and ready for the challenges of the future, EDP is committed to promoting the mental health of its employees. The Centre for Responsible Business Leadership’s Pact of Mental Health in the Workplace, which commits signatories to create a set of practical steps to improve emotional wellbeing, served as more evidence of this commitment. A healthy mind is necessary for success, so the Mind Your Mind mental health campaign was developed with the goal of demystifying feelings about mental illness, assisting in the identification of symptoms, and encouraging people to seek help by offering psychological support. EDP Company raised people’s awareness of this issue through this campaign.
This organisation developed a department devoted to well-being and benefits. The fact that this is aligned with EDP purpose is not innocent in the company strategy to thrive as one of the best companies to work. This OER focused on one of the pillars of well-being giving several testimonials so the target audience can be inspired with their stories.
